“Because of the power of the Baldrige Model and the support provided by the Quality Texas Foundation, The Alamo College’s Board of Trustees adopted the Baldrige Model as policy. As a result, all five of the Alamo Colleges and the District Operations are individually pursuing performance excellence, three of our six units have achieved the TAPE award and the other three making great strides to this end. We are now pursuing the National Baldrige Award as an entire system. The outcome has been increased achievement of our students, moving the Alamo Colleges from being the lowest producer of degrees to becoming the largest producer of degrees among community colleges in Texas, substantial improvement in our efficiencies due to continuous improvements throughout our complex system, providing a better experience for students and millions of dollars in cost savings.”

“Radiation Detection Company (RDC) has, for more than the last decade received highest technical marks from the biannual audits of our regulatory agency, NVLAP, a department of NIST; and from ISO of documentary performance. However, with a relatively short experience (1.5 years) using the Baldrige criteria, it is no overstatement to say that our organization has been transformed over that period of time. Within a few months we secured the Progress Level award at the 2017 QTF Annual Conference. At the end of last year, we submitted our application for the TAPE Award and await the results shortly. Of particular note, we have seen a tremendous uptick in our employees’ engagement with the Vision, Mission and Values of RDC. We are committed to a lifelong culture of continuous improvement regardless of any awards. We have seen our access to customers heretofore closed to us, increase even with the Progress Level Award.”

“From the early stages of our journey, Quality Texas Foundation was instrumental in preparing our team for the MBNQA site visits that we eventually received. Their level of attentiveness provided the direction and incentive we needed to refine and improve our processes across the hospital. The encouragement of QTF became a key to our ability to stay the course and remain optimistic through the ups and downs.”

“Texas Nameplate as an organization and me personally were both confused and lacked a strategic direction almost to a point of bankruptcy until we got involved with Quality Texas back in 1994. Since then, a greatest transformation took place in my personal life as well as the sustainability and future of my organization Texas Nameplate. We were Quality Texas Award Recipients and were also National Baldrige Recipients twice. I personally owe the Quality Texas Foundation, its criteria, and desire to help others for who I am and what Texas Nameplate is today”
